My brother-in-law just called from Dauphin Island. He's catching a lot of flounder casting a Kastmaster spoon (of all things) from the beach. Go figure.

I recently moved from P'cola to San Diego, out here they throw 3/4 oz and 1 oz chrome or blue chrome kastmasters for California Halibut. Slow they use slow steady retrieve where it will bounce the bottom or they will hop it back like a jigging spoon.
