I got to the pier after the awesome morning king run.  I still managed a 15lb king and one stud spanish.  I also choked sailfish #3 for me, I think I may be free spooling too long.  The way the fish ate was pretty cool, it chased a wind blown cig across the top with it's sail standing straight up.  I had a lot of slack due to the same wind and by the time the line came tight I got two hits on the fish and hook came out...ARRRRRGH   It was still a great time at the pier and was a lot of fun fishing with Sam Spivey (congrats on your kings), Roddy, Crab, Justin, Clinton, Dylan, Brewmaster Mike, Marty Mackey, Darrell, Jake and good meeting Brydman.   The water looked good, bait was scarce and limited to hardtails and houndsfish (kings eat those just fine).  Strong north wind all day with an ominous chill.

It's going to be in the low 40's in the morning, so you better dress accordingly.
