Hey guys I posted not long ago my Mitchell I did where I put the spool on a wire wheel and Polished it down to the Aluminum. Well my spools are starting to Oxidize from being in the salt air. Is there anything I can use to prevent this and help them keep thier shine?

That is why they are painted. You could paint them with a clear paint, or polish them every other trip. _________________ Go Fishing you can't catch them sitting on the couch!!!

Go to carquest and pick up a can of clear coat. Clean the spool real good and wash in paint thinner and once dry you can spray away. _________________ "Anyone can catch a king but not everyone can gaff one" (Charlie V.) |
