Is anyone else been having trouble with the new posts and no new posts icon indicators not working. I've been having this problem for over a week now. When I visit the site for the first time since last, this is what I see. See the broken image links? Those are supposed to be the new posts and no new posts icon indicators. It seems to fix itself automatically after I go into any forum then go back to the main index showing all the forums. But if I close my browser and come back X amount of minutes or hours later, and there are new posts, that is what I see. This is getting rather annoying and I have no idea how to fix it since I don't have full admin access to this forum's server. They don't give us that option since it's free.

Yeah, but when I refresh it they show up. I was hoping it wasn't my pc but it wasn't doing it anywhere else. _________________ Rob

I have been getting similar looking views myself. It doesn't happen all the time. I have been clicking the reload button and it clears it up. I use Firefox and I updated to the last version a week or so back, can't say if the first time I noticed this problem coincides with the update. Don't hold me to this, but I think I have seen similar problems elsewhere lately. I notice from the screenshot you have posted that you are using Opera. When I first looked into Opera about a year ago I discovered that it uses Firefox as a template so to speak and their updates are the same, if I recall correctly. Did you install an Opera update recently? I have Opera installed and haven't used it in months, what I will do is access this site from it without accepting any updates and see if the problem persists. I also have Flock which hasn't been used in awhile also, I will check from it as well. IE pffft find another lab rat for that, I would rather use my eyeballs as a pin cushion than use IE. _________________ It's my duty to make fish pay for their mistakes. |
