Well, the NE wind sure kept things on the sporty side.Heard some folks talking about it being colder last Sunday, glad I wasn't there .It reminded me of spring sucker fishing in Michigan and yes sometimes you were the sucker believing there really was fish to be had... until... you got into a school of them. That bankside fire would have been welcome today.
SHARK were the fish in the A.M. A couple spanish caught and a few broke off. Myself, one small(2.5 foot) blacktip.Cleaned and ready to be fried up tonight. Thanks to all who helped me get this fish on the pier.It was interesting!
On at 06:15ish and off by 09:30, not much going on when I left, but did see one keeper red caught near the last wash(cleaning) station. Time to quit whining and toughen up for winter fishing

Thanks for the report! Looks like the sharks are going to hang around the dirty water for a bit.  Yesterday there must have been 50 or more caught and some big bull reds.  I hope the water clears up and the big spanish stick around...we'll see
Mike

I haven't really kept any sharks in quite some time but those small blacktips are looking tasty. Any size limit on them?

There is a link on the left hand side to the regulations. One per day per person. I took one home to try myself, I've never kept one before. It was not particularly easy to clean.

Adobe isn't working too well for me right now, was hoping someone could tell me since I already tried to pull the regs from myfwc.com.

M-M good. A few hours in buttermilk, rolled three times in cornmeal/flour/spices and deep fried. My girls loved it! BTW, I harvested this shark for the specific purpose of eating it.I didn't want a bigger one nor did I want another one.More than enough for another meal and plenty more in the water.

Three years ago they had a mininum size limit in the regs. for sharks but I could not find it in this years regs. when I looked. I have to assume that since it was deleted there is no longer a size limit.

That's what I understand, one per person. No size limit is mentioned.
