Just curious what ya'll think about all the crap with the "swine flu." People waiting in line for vaccines that have been rushed out, and people panicking in schools. Personally I think its a bunch of crap, there is a new version on the flu every year, and more people die every year from the good 'ol fashioned flu. Of course the new strain is going to be more severe because you don't have immunity to it. And the vaccine. Rushed out in usual drug company fashion but our dear old president also declared the flu as a national emergency, giving the drug company 0 liability for their brand new vaccine. So unless you are super high risk, until the vaccine is tested much more, I wouldn't get the vaccine. I for one won't but nervously my mother probably should, as she is high risk recovering from surgery. The vaccine scares me more than the flu though. What do you guys think?

I already had it earlier this year so I'm not getting the vaccine. I don't believe the people who are talking about how horrible the vaccine is and all that. _________________ This message was brought to you by the Partnership for a Googan-Free America. |

I believe it is nothing to mess around with. Some friends and family's kids have had it and for some it was pretty dang rough. I won't get it though because it's harder on the people that are alot younger than I am. If I had young kids, I'd probably consider getting them vaccinated. _________________ Rob

I voted 'Hell No', since there was no 'NFW There's Not 5 of You Fast Enough and Bad Enough to Give Me the Vaccination' button. Let me explain why. Twenty years ago I took a flu vaccination in late October and by the beginning of December I was sicker than I have ever been as an adult. I was too tough, stubborn and broke to take off for a week or two from work to let myself get well. I turned into a Nyquil junkie until February the following year. Fever almost every single night, coughing all day, blah blah blah.
I remembered filling out a questionnaire before iI was given the vaccination, and I only recall two of the questions. The first was 'are you allergic to eggs?' and the second was 'do you have any cold symptoms or have recovered from a cold within X# of days?' Well it was the second question that wanted me dead. I have sinus problems this time of year almost every single year and it is difficult to tell if I have a cold or whether it is simply minor allergies. I would recommend a flu vaccination to anyone that can answer the questionnaire honestly and knowledgeably. If i can ever learn to tell if I actually don't have a cold with 100% certainty, I would take another chance at a flu vaccination. As the way things are now, it isn't going to happen. _________________ It's my duty to make fish pay for their mistakes. |

I already had the pig flu back in September, it lasted about 3 days with the first day being the worst, so I'm thinking I'll pass on the vaccination. _________________ Go Fishing you can't catch them sitting on the couch!!!

| My entire family including myself has battled the swine flu for the past week. It has not been a fun experience. My wife took viatmin D3 as advised by health experts at her flu was much less severe than the rest of ours. |

If you do research on vaccines you will see that they have been nothing but money makers for big pharma and not to your best interest.
Check out all the problems with the new gardasel vaccine and all the poor little girls it has left dead on the spot or with perminante problems.
I just pump up the immune system and vitiman D.
The last time I was sick it was from drinking to much lol..

| For those of you that have had this already I understand. However, I understand that 10 million doses of this have already been given, with no serious side effects. Too many people do not assess this scientifically, and make emotional decisions. I take the regular flu shot every year and will take the H1N1 when I can. This is a killed vaccine not a live vaccine (not the nasal mist, that is actually live but weakened virus and in quantities that will not make you sick). Flu vaccines won't make you sick, but you could possibly be subjected to a virus at a similar time that will make you think you were given the flu or a cold by the vaccine. Sort of like when your mother told you getting cold will give you a cold. That also is absolutely untrue as well. |

Well they haven't had any immediate effects. The vaccine hasn't been around long enough to even study those. I know there are many that are into the whole conspiracy side and idealogic society stuff, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't make the decision for yourself. I for one think people should think more and follow less. Could the vaccine be effective? Ofcourse, is it profitable, definitely. There is a lot of research showing more than one vaccine actively marketed today, has terrible effects. Some are effective like polio, however there is evidence suggesting they might of also helped along today's HIV strains that have killed millions. It also suggests it was completely unintentional by those who did create it. Could we be sure, no idea. Science is a great thing, however politics and money are wonderful marketing tools. TO each his own, but think before you run off the next time the news is showing its next "breaking news." The internet is the most incredible exchange of information mankind has ever know, and knowledge is power. Therefore remember people have more power than ever before.
