Water clear, storms on off thru the day, ly's and threadfin for bait. I went 2 for 4 on the kings, 1 big spanish and a whopper summer bonito, all caught on my new Fenwick rod.

I wouldn't know. I haven't been going. My Okaloosa pass expired at the end of June. All I've been doing is inshore fishing, mostly on the weekends. But I do believe they are starting to "catch" a few Tarpon. _________________ Calvin Martin

Yeah they are at Okaloosa also. A lot spotted today. No hookups while I was there today but there were some hungry ones coming up on baits. |

Yeah it worked just fine. It slings a cig a country mile and works it really well. It held it's own with the small kings we were catching and did just fine with that big old bonito who nearly dumped my Mitchell 306. The best part is the setup is very light and easy to hold all day. _________________ Go Fishing you can't catch them sitting on the couch!!!

Best tarpon pics I have seen in a while. From what I see, there is no need to justify caught, that big minnow was had. It would have been nice to beach it for a chance to revive it and some more pictures. I think it is better to release the fish as before it is too worn down and becomes shark bait. |
