they are good for a while
but just like any other reel that is made now a days besides a van staal they have plastic gear and in a year or two they will go out
my brother had one and it went out a year after he bought it |

| there anr plenty of good reels besides van staals and they do have strong metal gears. i like the penn affinity and the sargus. both hold up extremely well. i thing van stalls are way over rated. |

inshore
im saying that the only reels that i know of that are still made that have mtal gears are van staals
there are some new reels that are out there that probly have metal gear but every thing else on them is probly made cheap
im shure these penn reels yoll are talking about are very good but im willing to bet that a van staal, 706 or a 302 will last way longer |

The Flueger's are garbage in my opinion. I had one I converted to a manual, remember my "to slow to flounder fish" reel Obie? That was a Flueger. All I gotta say about them is if the Great Mark Sosin dropped them as a sponser then... wtf? _________________ To hell with swimming, sink. Team Granite. |

To slow to flounder fish.......I'm still laughing over that one. The funniest part was you were ripping bonito with it, I bet you're wrist is still tired.
