10/6 reportGot a late jump on things and didn't make it down to the pier until 11ish. Fished till right before 5 PM. Water was dingy. Didn't see much bait. Not much wind. And it was hot! Not much going on. Plethora of ladyfish and sharks, with the occasional bluefish thrown in (YAY!). Saw maybe a handful of spanny macs in the water (didn't witness any caught, but I didn't venture out to the end). Do believe someone caught a slot red on the end. About the same time, I was chasing a slot red around the pylons. Couldn't entice it to eat. The pier was just how I like it - empty! Did get a lot of work actually accomplished while "fishing" at least.
