fished this evening with a few friends and caught a half dozen trout or so....nothing huge, but i did lose a really nice one at the side of the bridge

my biggest catch was a stud whiting caught on a gulp rootbeer grub

my buddy caught the majority of the fish using a shiny-mullet softbait

i didn't have a good day (but what's new for me with fishing?!) :sleepy2:

I've been wanting to fish that area for a few years now. Ever since the first time I crossed that bridge and I could see bull reds slamming finger mullett and herring up against the wall. I've talked to some locals there that say it's excellent for Flounder. And if I'm not mistaken, thats the same area that the big Jack Crevalles are caught that are weighed in each year for the Destin Fishing Rodeo (pier & bridge division).
