early Tue Aug 25 DI Dock reportSome days I wake up early because "the fish are calling."
And every now and then I answer the call. 
I got to DI a little after 5 am and watched the white trout putting on a show around my b-i-l's light 
Every few minutes I'd see a single larger fish (speckled trout) in the mix.
After a few laps I was able to time where he was and dropped my lure in front of his nose and BAM!
Not a big one but a solid 'keeper', and with a handful of those fat white trouts I kept had the makings of a fine fish fry :party:
I caught maybe another 20 or so WTs, letting most of them go to grow even more.
At daybreak they moved away from the light, but I started catching them farther out on Gulp shrimp fished on a 1/8 ounce jig head.
Also caught several croakers and some ladyfish (skipjack) too.
The sunrise was breathtaking, and I had to pause in my fishing to take it in...
I continued catching WT, croakers and ladyfish until it was time to leave for work.
One last look...
I sure was glad to have answered that call.
