FISHING WITH GOOD FRIENDS

Well, I made plans to come to Pensacola and King fish with my friend Ivan, from Virginia. I got there two days early so Monday 8/31 I fished the new pier in Gulf Shores. NO KINGS, but the pier locals were catching some large Spanish on tiny LYs. The locals seemed to be clickish, and to me, were most unhelpful. I came loaded for bear " OR Kings " But all I heard is " your not gonna catch um on this  or  your not gonna catch um on that "  Bad vibes. Bad feeling. I happily left there early for some afternoon Pensacola Pier fishing fun. Met Dylon for the first time. He's Cool, and fun to fish with. But no Kings. The next morning I fished Okaloosa Pier, I have several friends there and they're fun to fish with, but in spite of the fact that I fished hard , there was only one King caught 22in. Caught by me !!!! Two inches short, but thanks to me the locals got to see what a King looks like. Come to think about it I don't remember getting to many thank yous. Hmmm. Oh well, going to fish with Ivan in the morning at the Pensacola Pier. Next morning, got up early and off to the pier where, on the way out, I met another old fishing buddy, Harvey from Arkansas, who like Ivan came to fish the month of September. Ivan was there when we got there, and three guys , who haven't fished together in over a year, from three different States comminced to wear the Kings out. 17lbs  18's  20's began hitting the deck before Flipper slowed us down.  The " Three Musketeers "  they called us. Dylan showed up and others, but they were too late, by the time they got there Flipper ruled the high seas. The next morning at 7:25 Dylan began complaning to me about where the Kings were, I smilled confidently and said " Dylan you're five minuets early, get back out there and wait five minuets. Five minuets later, dylans reel went off for the first King of the morning. What fun. Even though Flipper tried like hell to mess up the fishing (with some success ) He couldn't ruin our commradary. On Friday I managed to get a King past  Flipper but at the gaff a baracoda got the tail. For the week I brought home seven Spanish and 1and 3/4 Kings. Great times were had by all.
