For those of you who have Sprint/NextelJust as an FYI, this was announced last week. If you are already on one of the plans that qualify, we'll switch you effective first day of the new bill cycle. You may have also received a letter or email about it.
Free, unlimited calls to and from any cell phone in the US, doesn't matter what network they're on.

If you have the $99.99 unlimited plan, I can't really get it lower than that for ya. I have to pay all those taxes and fees myself, and I work for the company.

I pretty much knew that.You have got to love those taxes and fees. The only reason I got the unlimited plan was during ling season,everyone blows each others phones up and my bill was $500. or more.
Is there a plan with just unlimited phone minutes,I can do without the downloads,text features,walkie-talkie functions?

Not really. The old Nextel plans were the same price and it was just unlimited local calling and walkie-talkie.

For me who has Nextel... Let me tell you what they did to me this week. I had a bill of 889$ because of buying new phones. They were supposed to be free... not. OK my wife called to make arrangements of splitting this into monthly payments. They told her that some one just made the payment while she was on the phone. Of course no one did, but they tried to take the money from my account. Then this wed. with out authorization tried to take the whole amount again causing me to get a NSF charge at the bank. She called and talked to them for a long time again and they took the NSF charge off of the balance. Then yesterday when my wife's check hit the bank along with mine they took the whole amount out of my account with out authorization. After the money that we spent yesterday, imagine our surprise when we discovered last night that we were left with 37$!!!!!! She called again last night and got transfered from agent to agent, getting denied refund, getting yelled at by their agent, she found out that they will not do anything about it until monday. They are supposed to be having a manager call back and send a refund check Fedex.
Dude, if they do not get this straight, I am gonna lose my mind in a very ugly way. Of course due to this my other bills are going to be late, because they took my entire paycheck out of my account with out authorization and have not responded fast enough to get it back.

when they first got bought out, switched from nextel to sprint with no transfer fee. 10 days later bam canceled contract with no fee. a csr showed me that trick.... best thing i ever did got my wife and son off nextel. if they had an emergency it better be on a freeway or no coverage..now if i could get my employer to leave nextel...

It only took me one Nextel subscription to learn they are very, very bad people to deal with. I've had Verizon for the last 3 years without ANY hassle.
