Friday 8/14Water clear, current from the east, wind SE, LY everywhere. Kings went off from daylight until around 1100. I got there at around 9 and went 6-8 and two others eaten by flipper. The guys who were there early said it was unreal. Most the fish were 8-10 but I got a couple close to 15. One big king well over 30 lbs was choked on a bluefish for bait. Saw several nurse sharks, a big hammer, a big manta (empty) and a lot of flippers. Butch hooked a big tarpon and got 4 jumps before in nearly dumped his reel.

man... and i was so close to being there this weekend. oh well. hopefully next weekend (or whatever weekend i drive east) will be good
