Hey CalvinI know others are going to read this and wonder who this is about. Sorry but no names or clues will be given, since everything is speculative and I don't start or spread rumors.
After the boy and I left the pier I stopped off in Navarre to just look at the pier ruins and reminisce. I went to the little convenience store (Tom Thumb?)across from the pier and who was it who walked in as I pulled into the parking lot.
You got it the same guy that we thought may have had a screw loose in his head due to unauthorized use of chemicals back in late March.
Well to get to the point he recognized me and called me by name, which impressed me since I only introduced myself to him once and that was two years ago. He seemed friendly, but I could tell he felt awkward, sort of guilty, when I mentioned that I hadn't seen him around. I didn't press the issue.
I may be fooled but he may be cleaning up his act. If you know someone who is close to him ask them to help by reaching out to this guy and make sure he comes out of the funk he was definitely in a few months back. We all know of lives that have been ruined by that crap and it would be a damn shame to have that happen to a fellow fisherman and a nice guy.
Once again nice meeting you and hope to see you again on a pier soon.

Also somebody out there may assume it is a friend of theirs that I referred to, if it is or is not, everyone should take it upon one's self to reach out and help a friend who has gone astray.
