I was trying to figure out how to make one and ran across this thread so I thought I'd pass it on. I haven't built one yet but I plan on it.

i just heat the jig head up with a torch and dip it in the can of powder
pull it out and hit it agianst the edge of the can
then put it in the oven for 10 mintes at 250 and they look great
having that said
i dont really understand what that thing in think is trying to do
will someone explain it to me
i read what the guy posted about it

Ben, you can buy these for around 50 bucks but this would be much cheaper if they work. What it does is fluff the powder up. it suspends the powder so you get a more even coating of paint. It works the way you do it, and me, but this is supposed to make it easier to dip the jigs.

It looks quite similar to one I put together a couple of years ago.
The biggest issue is getting air to flow throughout the powder and not just up through the middle.

Well initially I used a piece of aluminum foil with a gazillion tiny pin holes, but once I switched over to the brown paper bag membrane it worked perfectly. I use a small aquarium pump I bought at Walmart for around $10, and just a short piece of tubing (no regulator).
