Is $60 a decent price on a 704 Greenie?Local guy has one in good shape, normal wear and tear. He's offered it to me but I'm not sure about the price.... just bought a mint 704Z with a 10ft rod for $75... so the Greenie price looks a bit much.... but maybe I'm just "stupid" about their value. just looking to fish it, nothing more

That is about right for one that is in good shape.

I agree. That you got a rod and a reel for 75 was probably just a good deal... depending on the rod. Do you happen to know what kind of blank that 10 footer is? What color is it? 1 piece or 2 piece? Mike was asking about one today here on the forums in another thread.

It's two piece (I have no way to easily transport a 1 piece that long... white and I forget the brand.. I check it tomorrow and let you know.. I put it in the rack with the other 40 some odd rods n reels out there haven't looked at it since I bought it. I'm gonna re-spool it and freshen up the drag tomorrow...I'm sure the drag is fine...one owner reel and the guy said he only fished it 3 or 4 times and never had a fish on and it looks it. He couldn't remember what line was on it other than it's 20lb test so off it comes.

the 704z and rod for 75 bucks was a very nice grab. the z by itself for 75 would have been a good grab. the greenie is very much in line...
