Let's see some of your Cool Vintage Rods

I'll start with this Roddy Rod Buda Head Special.  Now I've seen a pretty fair amount of Roddy's and even owned a few, but this one to me is just one step up.  I even have another Roddy nearly identical to this rod with a split grip but it's not the Buda Head.  So here you go and let's see what else we can scare up around here.

Here's the coolest Roddy label I've ever seen.  It's hard to really see but that's a Buda holding a fish over his head.  And of course the Buda Head Special

The rest of this label is as if Roddy plastered the build-sheet onto the blank, but that's fine with me.

I've seen this faintly on some other Roddy's but this one is still pretty sharp.

And what about this super strange ( but still cool) stripper guide.

It's 8 feet with a fast action.  It'll probably throw a cig in an easy wind, with a nice backbone.

I have a strippier guide like that I got in a box of msc. guides.  It wrapped up real nice but sure looks weird.

Yeah, I have another rod with a the same stripper as the other straddle guides on this rod.

St.Croix vintage 9 ft

I have a 9 foot St. Croix   I believe the model number is 905  it also says carbloy on it    it is really nice and it has  perfection guides on it    Its a little soft    I think it would make a great king rod    I plan on bringing it to the pier    I will post a picture of it soon     If anyone wants to trade me something for it Im open   (maybe some guides or a blank or something)    Its a red brown color   Its really awesome

barry, id be open to taking a look at the rod and possibly trading. i have an old st croix (i think that's what it is, ive had a few people tell me they think it's a st croix) trout rod red/brown like you described. it would be cool to have a similar large rod. ive got all the guides you could want if thats what you need in trade. or i can get a hold of just about any blank thats still in production. just let me know
Tiderider

Barry that would be cool if you would post some pictures of that old St. Croix.
