I did catch a ling last year on a knotted leader using an albright, but typically I use a swivel.

in my experience the uni will hold better than the albright.
what are the advanteges when cobe fishing with a swivel ?

A lot of people who use power pro tie the jig straight to it using a bimini twist... One advantage of a swivel is that they prevent line twists.

I just feel more comfortable with a swivel even though I know a uni won't pull or break. I guesss its habit. Some poeple tie straight to power pro no bimini but I don't.

I think it's about two things, 1. ability to tie a good knot 2. Confidence in your setup. If those two things come together you have to worry about anything but catching the fish.

it would only be worth tieing a bimini when ling fishing but its a helluva bi**h to tie with braid imho
