i saw that. what i was asking is more of what kind of materials to you use such as hair, mylar, paint, and feathers

You just about said it all right there, you will need bucktails in assorted colors, flash, and feathers or whatever else you want to add to them. I doesn't really matter what it looks like so get creative. Use nylon thread to make your wraps, just go from there.

what do you use to protect the paint ? i was thinking maybe flexcoat since i already have some ?

5 min. epoxy works fine. Thats what I use
