Mobile BayI started out in Dog River which is in the city limits. Lots of
bait but just a few flounders were caught. I headed out into
the bay, and after a 40 mile round trip  I finally found
some trout. The 1st was a solid 3.5 lber. After that I picked up
about 6 more in the 2lb range.
I told the fellow fishing with me, that as long as no other boats
come around, and crowd us we should be okay. Sure enough
it killed the action. I was able to work around pilings with the
trolling motor, but with the extra boats anchored plus they
were fishing live shrimp, it shut everything down. The specks
were more or less on the bottom. Shortly after that the winds
picked up, and the bay went from smooth to a light chop.
