Monday 9/21/09Fished from about 9-2. I only saw 5 Kings caught while I was there. A couple more were lost. Did see a sailfish early, one tarpon also came by. Lots of threadfins around for bait. A friend was there early, said no Kings caught. There were some cigs around early though.

I did my usual 0500 to 0700 and can vouch for the fact that no kings were around early.
Things are tough when you leave thinking you had a successful trip because you caught 6 cigar minnows.

Got there about 4:30...a smattering of cigs about, but threads and HT's were just about everywhere. Smallish kings were around along with several nice ones in the 15# range...one 20# was seen running about and sucked a bait off and that was it...then...the excitement came when a shower of ballyhoo came rushing the pier with 2 BLACKFINS behind them...one possible eat (No teeth marks on the bait) but no hookup...also a sail was seen hauling AZZZ to the east...Saw 1 12# king skyrocket on a HT as it was pulled out of the water on a bait rig...left at 6:30.
