NEED INFORMATIONCOMING DOWN TO STAY AT THE FORT PICKENS PARK THIS WEEKEND. GOING TO TRY AND CAMP THERE AND FISH AT THE PENSACOLA PIER. I'VE NEVER FISHED AT PENSACOLA PIER BEFORE . IS THERE A BAIT SHOP ON OR NEAR THE PIER? HAS ANYTHING BEEN BITTING LATELY, NOT SEEN MANY POST. NOTICED THAT THE PARK HAS A PIER ALSO ON THE BAY SIDE , ANY TIPS OR ADVICE WOULD BE NICE.

There are two bait stores in Gulf Breeze, Gulf Breeze Bait and Tackle located next to the Waffle House and Hot Spots Bait and Tackle located in the strip mall next too Mc Donalds.
The fishing reports have been spanish and kings at Pcola Pier, each day is different so fishing reports really mean little. You can also catch the same fish at Ft Pickens fishing pier.

THANKS FOR THE BAIT INFO... WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SAILFISH? MAN THOSE EARLIER REPORTS REALLY GOT ME PUMPED UP AND THEN BAM NO REPORTS. SO IF I UNDERSTAND RIGHT THERE ISN'T A BAIT SHOP ON THE PIER THAT SELLS FROZEN CIGS....?

When I was down last month they did sell bait (cigar minnows) at the pier but they would run out of them quickly during the day. Might want to take a sabiki or gold hook setup to catch bait at the pier.

You really should look at sails as a an unexpected treat on piers. Even though there were quite a few seen this yr, it is never going to be an everyday or every week occurrence. I'm not saying you won't see one, but if you do, consider it a bonus.

ALWAYS A BONUS IF YA EVEN GET TO SEE A SAILFISH, JUST GOT MY FIRST 706Z AND WOULD LOVE TO HEAR IT SING. NEVER BEEN TO PENSACOLA PIER AND BY LOOKING AT THE PICS ITS NICE. GLAD TO HEAR THEY SELL BAIT THANKS.
