After seeing last fridays reports of kings at palafox, and catching one in the boat last weekend in the bay, I figured it might be worthwhile to drift a white trout in front of palafox... it was a fishless experience for me though. I did see several white trout caught along with flounder on gulp jigs and a couple folks got cut off reeling in their bottom rigs so I imagine the spanish are out there a little (all this was from 430-dark). I will keep trying and post up when I find them, its a pretty easy spot for me to hit after work. - Rob

Thanks for the report, how big was the fish you caught in the boat?

it wasn't too big probably 10-12lbs. ate a live mullet on a circle hook w/ 60lb mono over by the NW corner of gulf breeze. I was looking for tarpon but only got the 1 king and a couple cut offs from blacktips. 1st cold front and it should be game on with the number of menhaden in the upper bay right now!
