Pier King Tourney

Here's the latest results as of noon today...

Lionell P. - 20.4
Thomas N. - 16.80
Louis P. - 16.15
Keith P. - 16.10
Zack W. - 13.25

$21 Entry fee, of which 20 goes into the kitty...the other dollar goes into a drawing for a free pier pass that will be held on 15 Oct 09 at noon. The $1 is to benefit the wildlife fund...the rest of the entry money will be a 100% payback with 50% going to the winner along with a  1 year pier pass (Unless your fish takes the rodeo King Pier Div.) 2nd will get 30% and 3rd will get 20%...there are other prizes as well, but is as of this writting TBD.

Ya gotta play to win...

Dev, can you elaborate a little bit more on that part in bold I quoted from you? Does that mean you can't win first place, and it's prizes, (for King) in both the pier tourney and the rodeo pier division?

Also...I understand you have to be paid registered before weighing in a pier tourney fish. Is there a deadline on the pier tourney entry fee?
SonShineFishing

Pier management does not want to give 2 passes for a single fish.
DevnDeb

James has it right on...Pier Management (Not Dave) also sponsors the Bridge, Surf and Jetty division of the Destin Fishing Rodeo...IF you win the rodeo in the KING MACKEREL division AND The pier tourney, there will be only 1 pass for first place...you WILL NOT get a second pass (As in past years)...Same applies if your first place rodeo fish wins the rodeo BUT you slip to second place in the Pier Tourney...This ONLY APPLIES to the KING division...all other categories apply regular rules and pass opportunities.

I am pretty sure I have the Remora record sewed up.
teamreelloco2

Cool, so I'm still in 4th. I forgot to look yesterday.
I don't think there is a deadline on the fee. You just have to pay prior to walking out. After that you can weigh in a fish.
Hopefully today we get some fish in there. The wind looks pretty good so far. Blow wind blow!!!
DevnDeb

We have movement on the board...

Lionell P.- 20.4
Sal Z. - 18.20
Sonny F. - 18.10
Thomas N. - 16.80
Luis P. - 16.15

No deadline to enter...and you MUST have a witness to the fish caught to sign the weigh-in slip.
Calvin

There was some movement on the board this evening...I think.    Sonny got one 19.75. Lionel still has first.
rabbit

your right calvin, i was hangin out in the shack today when he brought it up. weighed it three times, once 19.80, twice 19.75. it was a nice fish, had lionell nervous.
DevnDeb

You are right...movement on the board with Sonny and Sal flip flopping on the leader board...It's definately been the year of the Geritol generation so far...

Lionell P. - 20.4
Sonny F. - 19.75
Sal Z. - 18.20
Thomas N. - 16.8
Luis P. - 16.15

What? Me worry? lol....

So, after a long day on the j-o-b I get out to the Octagon about 5:20 or so and see Sonny bowed up with that 10' rod of his and I knew he was hooked up with something good.. but as fate would have it, my 20lber is holding his own for another day or so..lol.  Now, last weekend that dadgummed Brandon should have knocked me off the board with his two decent (20lb+) kings but he refuses to get in the tourney...oh well.

Have a great day and see ya'll later today and this weekend.  Lionell
