rainshaddow

how do yall like the rainshaddow blanks for kings ?
fishhead0429

oh yeah and wich model do yall like ?
nb&twil

1087 seems to be the preferred rod for kingfishies. extremely lightweight so it would be comfortable to throw baits all day. i think firedawg has a rainshadow su1087. maybe he'll shed some personal experience. all im familiar with is the sw and it is a fine blank for mackerel fishing with 15lb mono! (or 20, or whatever you prefer. 15 is just my choice)

Ive got a 1087 G Loomis for sale right now which is great for kings.

thanks jrod but i like building my own. nice rod though.
Firedawg

I got a SU1088 for my son for Striper fishing the west coast, and absolutely love it! It is a little stiffer than the 1087 but not much. If you want a little softer tip go for the SU1087, but if you want a little more backbone go for the SU1088. If you ever see me out there I will let you fish it. I will be trying to sneak to the pier for an hour or so in the evenings this week. It is definately a light, strong rod, I am definately sold on Rainshadow blanks, I own 3 and love them.
