Saturday April 5 Dauphin IslandI had an ACFA Tournament Saturday, but went to bed with it storming and was waken up a few hours later with it storming even worse.
Some parts of Mobile & Baldwin County had over +8" overnight 
Fortunately (for some) the storms stayed NW of Dauphin Island all night.
My plan was to meet a buddy at the Dauphin Island Pier and do some wadefishing for specks.
Being a NEAP tide I figured live bait was my best bet so I stopped on the way and got a few dozen nice ones.
My buddy, and another club member waded along side throwing all kinds of artificial lures caught one speck each.
I managed to land 7 (and lost too many 
Offered some live shrimp to my buddies, but they stuck to throwing the arties. I salute their perseverence 
The LAST trout I caught (4.0# @ 22") took 3rd place in the tourney 
The 2nd trout from R-L was 22 1/2" but weighed 5 ounces less
Thank You Lord for a fine day fishing (with good friends) under otherwise aweful conditions!

Nice catch David, sorry I missed you yesterday at Pcola. By the way I fished thru that same front on the pier Saturday morning. Thank goodness for Grundens.
