I got a text message from Hayes Sperry this morning saying he just caught a sailfish, I told my dad so he headed to the pier. About an hour later I get a text from Hayes saying you dad has a 40lb ling on!! Then I get a text from Ben K. saying your dad just lost a 40lb ling..He said I kinda got around a piling when they first tried to gaff it then I ran away from the pier then the line broke. He said it was a little frayed from the piling i guess.

Yeah that's kind of how it goes this time of year when everyone is fishing king rods. I hate he lost that fish, fall ling are kind of hard to come by and just like the fall pomps the fall ling have a very good flavor.

Some were like SHARK! We were like thats no shark!..Mr. Massey almost had that ling..It was a slowww day ..I left at 12 after getting out there at daylight..I only saw 1 king, 1 ling and Hayes caught a sailfish!
