Got there about 6AM...a few spansih had been caught, but nothing to write home about...cigs were there at first light, but only lasted about 30 minutes... after thatspotty cigs and threads along with the usual baby HT's. A few kings were put on the deck...about 10 in all by the time I left at 11...wind was hard NE 10-15 with higher gusts...water was OK until the tide line came in about 9:30...the tidline held a few kings and axe handle spanish...but certainly nothing to write home about...the pomp hole had seen a few pomps, but again, nothing to write home about...left at 11 with one in the box

Went back out from 2-5...wind was HOWLING SE...hard to keep a bait in the water, but when you did, you were likely to get skyrocketed on...MANY skyrockets all over the place from the end down to the bar...several fish in the 12-15 range were put on the deck along with a few barely there's...Thomas Norvelle managed one from the new lifeguard station (At least we have a new point of refrence for the reports...) that went over 16#'s and he's now in second place for the pier tourney. Baits were threads, an occasional cig and HT's...a few axe handles were also brought on deck...left at 4:30 with one in the box (donated) and WET...oh did I mention it RAINEDDDDD?

Those skyrockets were cool. Talking to Matt on the sandbar and one did that to his bait. The hook ended up pulling. That would have been a good fish. I finally got mine (thank God the rain cleared the rail for awhile). Went 16.1. Had 3rd til someone got one at 16.15. Now it's 4th for me. Oh well, plenty of time to upgrade.
It was nice to have some rough weather and fish actually show up.

lots of skys it was awsome real hard to keep baits in the water or dougs braid off ur line but if u managed u got ate i got a twelve up thanks for the cigs miss pat and sorry to hear about vixen see yall wednsday
