Sunday, 20 Sept 09Got there at 5am...not alot going on...SE wind at 10 or so...once first light hit, a few cigs were about (I got 15) and 2 schoolie kings...went to the pomp hole with negative results and left at 7:45...went back at 2:30 and the bite had been in full swing...SE wind still about 15...Threads, LY's, HT's and cigs were about for bait...one Mahi had been had along with a cuda that went about 15# before I got back...schoolie kings were running about and were getting got...a few in the 10-15 range were also finding their way on deck...Doug got a nice 20# on a cig or thread...left at 6:30 with a limit and a few more cigs.

devon, i heard second hand that someone hooked a 30# cobe at about 4:30. confirmation?

i was there from 5:30 am till about 8 pm. no cobe, 4 sails spotted, but none eating. little chicken dolphin caught when some grass came floating through, and some kings every so often all day. i hooked into a nice king late in the day, probably would have went around 25, but all i got to the deck was a ten pound head, thanks to flipper. pretty good day in all. got my limit, had some fun.
