Sunday, 30 August

Was out there from before daylight until about 10:30 AM.

Deader than a last year's cow pile.  No Kings, no Spanish.

Got out there about 4:30...just as the rain and lightning started...only lasted for about 30 minutes...after the storms passed through, bait was getting hammered to the SW of us...what wind there was, was out of the SW...but hardly a breath...anyway, about 5:30 or so, the first of the evening spanish run came on deck...flipper stole a couple, but then they coraled them on the NE side and it was an absolute slaughter...you had to fight flipper a bit for them, but he really wasn't all that bad...I only lost one to him...the spanish were literally coming through by the hundreds and bubbles with crappie jigs were taking their toll along with gotchas and throwing small baits (But bubbles were the better choice by at leat 7-1)...most were in the 18" range, with more then a few in the 2-3# range...no kings seen...left at 7:30 with a limit and it was still going off, but slowing.
