The bite is on for specks and reds

For specks, the night bite is on. Under lights, using --anything. We caught them on a new Berkely GULP Saltwater Shad, Berkely Gulp shrimp, live shrimp, dead shrimp and a Yozuri topwater lure.  About half of the specks were undersized; the others were all about 18 inches. We saw a couple of whoppers, but didn't land any.

The red bite was on, too, in the late afternoon.  Live shrimp just off the grass beds got us a couple of slot keepers. But they were busting finger mullet all around us.

Where was I? Perdido Key, but I think that it doesn't  matter where you go, that speck bite will be on!

Take some insect repellent - the mosquitos were schooling, too!

i went under some lights last night and killed like a 5 lber, and one of the lights i went on had nearly a 100 trout in it, but 3/4 of them were under slot tiny fish...normally i use doa but the fish might have been able to see the hook or something because they were definatley spooking from it. i threw a doa cal which was prolly about 6inches long and it was glow in the dark, so i held it up to the light and let it charge up and throw it out in the dark water beyond lights edge and they loved it....oh and i wasn't throwing a jig head on it either it was a weedles hook
