Thurs. 27 Aug.Was there before daylight this morning. I had to gaff 3 kings for other people but didn't hook up on anything but Flipper myself. 
I don't mind gaffing a king for others, but shouldn't I get one too?
Left about 10:30, nothing going on at that time unless you count skippies.

Thanks for the report  Sorry about you having to gaff those fish  I hope at least they were thankful. I know I owe two myself and will reciprocate when I purchase my gaff and somebody schools me on gaffing.I'm sure there will be plenty of volunteers

Oh, I'm more than happy to gaff a fish for somebody although it sometimes means you will not catch one yourself because you were on the gaff while they were biting.
You can practice before you get your gaff. Make yourself one out of coat hangers and practice snagging the tops of bikinis from the pier. There's nearly always a few on the beach beside the pier. You also get to practice your self defense techniques if you should get lucky and actually pull one of the bikini tops off.
