Thursday, 17 Sept. Was out there from about 08:00 til 10:00 at which time the school called to tell me to come pick up my granddaughter because she was running a fever.
Sporadic Kings being caught the whole time I was there. Saw Robbie land one that was about 22 lbs. Had one about the same size eat my cigsicle while running straight at me. Needless to say, I didn't get caught up with him before he realized something was amiss and spit it out. Dang the luck!
Heard Paul Skim yell, "Got one, Jim!" Looked around and he had one ready to gaff. Before I even got my gaff out of the cart, the king got off. Somebody told me a 'cuda was chasing his king and that was the reason for losing it.
Spanish were being caught in the gut down close to the surf but I didn't fish for them. They weren't real big Spanish so I didn't want to risk being called Bubbles again.
I had this gut feeling that it was going to be a King Mackerel afternoon but I haven't heard anything about it yet. But then again, I once had this gut feeling that I was gonna get lucky in Surf Side Seven one night, but all that happened was a 6 foot 3 inch stripper kicked my butt. So much for gut feelings.

Got there about 3...SE wind about 15...water was dingy, but definately fishable...the chew had been on for a while and continued until about 5:30...I got a nice 18# on 2nd cast with a thread...they were coming in sporadically...saw one sail come in chasing some bait but he didn't eat any offerings...I got another 12# on a cig scicle...several in the 20@ range were landed as well. Left at 6 with my limit and some skyrocketing memories.

Somebody needs to slip a few old bubbles into Ms. Pats box and then get a picture of her when she pulls one out.
A picture is worth a thousand words.

I was there from 2:00 until 5:30. Several fish on when i got there. I choke 2 and had on 25 or so sky rocket on me as i was reeling in. Didn't ever have time to freespool before he popped me of. End up catching one about 10. It was a very fun day with lots of fish being caught. Post picks soon.

Alright Brad, hope you enjoyed your trip.
It's a good thing for you that you are already back in "Hotlanta".
Otherwise I would tell Nancy that I saw a pic of you posing with a hottie.
