Thursday 7/16I didn't get to go out until around noon and I fished until 3pm. I think I'm pretty sure my two kings (14 and 12lb respectively) were the only kings caught during my visit, I also managed a nice spanish and choked another small king. Frankie hooked a decent king but flipper literally ran it under the pier and popped him off. I think they may have caught a few fish at daylight. David King caught a tarpon earlier in the morning. Threads, LY for bait. I was using cigs. The water looks great but the wind is sporadic and is either blowing very lightly or not at all.

Sounds like a decent day to me. I'm hoping to get back down there and fish 4 or 5 days during the week in 2 or 3 weeks. This job should be done by then and I want to make it down one more time this year before heading back to Missouri.

Yep it accounted for all the fish I caught on my last two trips. It a keeper rod for sure.

dan sent me a picture of a king about 30lbs he caught yesterday after work. sounds like a good little summer run going on now.

and jake hooked a 30- 35 lber but ole bull shark got him
