Thursday Oct 1Got out a little after 6:00 AM. Things were slow. Cigs started biting good, 2 or 3 at a time. A little after 7:00 AM the water exploded with bonitos off the end., a school of about 100 was churning the water, I caught 5 in 5 casts then left with bonitos still biting. Once the bonitos showed up the bait was no where to found.

CIGSI GOT THERE ABOUT 2 PM. BAIT WAS AROUND BUT SCATTERED. CIGS STARTED BITING GOOD AGAIN AND THEN THE BIG SPANISH AND A FEW KINGS SHOWED UP. BIG SPANISH WERE STILL BITING AT DARK AND WE WERE STILL CATHING CIGS. IT WAS REPORTED TO ME THAT THERE WERE 13 SAILFISH SPOTTED TODAY  I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON, BUT TO SEE AS MANY SAILS AS WE HAVE THIS YEAR IS UNHEARD OF!! IT LOOKED LIKE LING SEASON AT THE END WHEN A SAIL SHOWED UP EVERY BODY RUNNING AND CASTING EVERY WHICH A WAY - I WAS WONDERING WHEN SOMEBODY WAS GOING TO CALL "1ST SHOT". IT APPEARED EVERYONE WAS HAVING A GREAT TIME. NOT TOO MANY GOOGANS, BUT ENOUGH TO PISS YOU OFF.

today was a bust on kings, but it was still a good day. we seen several sails, with one caught. he got intentionally broke off at the pier. another fish was choked twice, and we got to watch one go ape @$%^ on a little wad of needle fish. it was awesome. the bonita this morning was a lot of fun. they just showed up right of the end of the pier tearing up baitfish. i heard this crazy sound, looked to my left, and just seen white water. we caught several, everybody was hooked up. caught a couple on my king rod, then started throwing the light tackle. landed four more on eight pound test and a gotcha plug. caught lots of cigs off and on through the day. not to mention the big spanish that showed up this afternoon. lots of four and five pound fish. all in all, another fun day at the pier
p.s. sorry about the hat ms. pat. i thought i was gonna have to go swimming for it, lol.

Thanks for the reports. Sounds like a fun day. Are the winter bobo's already here? or are they bigger like you catch most of the summer?
