TUESDAY 8/25Skipjacks were so thick you could walk on near the beach.Tried for flounder about an hour and no luck. Saw one group of about 5 Pomps about 9:30 and picked up one. First in months.

I saw a few more small pomps this afternoon. I stayed on the bar from around noon until 4:30, I saw a total of 5 tarpon and choked one about 100lbs. Saw a few spanish and a couple kings come from the end, I don't really have any details about what was seen or caught on the end of the pier. The water is very clear, lots of LY, some baby bo's and hardtail, very light south wind.

Yippee...bring on the Pompano!
And btw, I grilled up some Black Snapper we caught around the pylons at the pier the other day....DELISH!
If any of you get a chance to catch some, you will not be disappointed!

Lol. I actually quit using circle hooks cause I could not NOT set the hook.

Hey Obie after the initial hit when you put pressure on the fish and slid that hook in place you can start hitting him. I always do it so I can get him to jump near the pier and wear them out faster.
