What kind of fish is that a picture of?

Okay I have been seeing these really large fish that look like a tarpoon with 3-4 people holding it in the water at the top of the page.. Do people catch these fish off the pier? It seems that everyone is in the water and under the pier holding them? Do they wash up dead and people want there picture made holding them? I am confused lol..

Tarpon dude. They are frequently caught from the piers.

they are tarpon ,when they are caught some people take them to the shallow to get their pic with them and then revive them so they will live they are hard to land on the pier so hats off to the fisherman that can land one from a pier

yeah those are tarpon, that would be a heck of an LY though, lol

tarpon also remind me of huge skipjacks

Thats kewl I thought it looked like one, but I thought they where shapped exaclty like that, there must be different types I think the ones in the Florida Keys seem to be longer and not that shape..
