Whats been happening to all the kings lately?

IT just seems like for the past moths its either dead or snakes are being caught. Is kinfg season just closing to an end or something ? Also is thier going to be any season starting up?

It has been full on King Mac season this week in PC... Of course it was mainly while I was at work. The deck of the pier is nasty slime covered mess. It needs to rain on it. LOL Sliver streaks, blood stains and mashed baits....

August and the 1st part of September they call the "Dog Days of Summer " for a reason.    The Kings move into the bay and offshore. They will be back soon. Lots of Smokers are caught in Oct. and Nov.

I don't know about today, but it has been solid. I saw evidence of a 50 king day yesterday.

there was no king shortage friday morning as lisa and i caught  one apiece during our obligatory end of pier visit (took about 20 minutes).  gave them to patrick.  the main problem was the remoras!  i have never seen so many large remoras.  they were everywhere and were grabbing baits as soon as they hit the water.  i guess the trick was to make sure the bait went down about ten feet and they would leave it alone.  but the kings were definitely there!  spent the rest of the morning in the pomp hole wishing.

The bay is heating up with all kinds of fish, Kings included. Black snapper & more. The Kings will start coming back as the water starts cooling down. Mid 70's seems to be the majic temps for them.

The bay? Which bay? I am going to go boat in the bay near Okaloosa island pier, is that any good?

All of the Bays. Locate structure and deep holes and any of the bays can be hot. Think about where the fish will be due bait movements and water temps.
