good luck its an addiction buying the older penn reels I have about 5 706 reels and 2 van staal reels and about 25 other new or newer reels and prob 20 other old reels that are all in working shape
I have a 707 in brand new condition not a scratch on it but the 707 decal on the side plate was robbed off im wanting 450 for it never fished |

yea i like the old school look. id love to take that reel off your hand but im a poor college student  and thats a little to much for me. but thanks anyway. im looking in the $100-$150 range

Average selling price of a 705 is between 50-100 the only way to go over a 100 is mint condition box and paperwork. There is a buy it now for 65.00 | ||

Most definitely. I just bought one on EBay that was a good bit rougher for 46$ shipped.
For some reason the prices are not as high on these compared to 707s. I thought of just selling you mine for more but I thought better of it. LOL I couldn't live with my self had I taken advantage of you. |

yea. hope it turns out nice. what kinda up grades can i do to the reel? like drag or even getting it powder coated? |

Both. And you can get a Manual kit which I think will be a must. At least it is on mine. Mine has an issue when casting the bail closes WAY too easy, so I am gonna get a manual kit. | ||
