You've ever used your pier pass as an second form of ID.

You can spot a googan 100 feet away.

If you know which of the ten pier carts on the end belong to which person and watch everyone's tackle, just in case.

You refer to the seasons by the species running rather than fall, winter, summer and spring... eg. I was hanging out at the pier back in cobia season and I was supposed to be at school...

When my brother and I used to migrate over this way from Louisiana to fish, we always bought a brand new pair of FGs each.  We nicknamed the Fishing Glasses or Florida Glasses.

"Is that you behind those Foster Grants?"
Foster Grant is still making polarized glasses.  My local Wal Mart carries them.  Next time I am in there I will look to see if that old school design is available.  If they do, next time I'm down I will be sporting a brand new pair for nostalgia.

i have not seen a pair in years, don't think they still make them. if they do, gotta drill some small holes in the temple so they don't fog up.

Shoot FG's were high dollar for a kid making $1.68 an hour, that's why I wore Polaroids.

All the time. If you ever see me with the wind at my back, looking very intently at the water, snobbling with one hand, I'm probably peeing.

you might be a pier rats kid if...
instead of toys to play with it was shrimp & baitfish
you learned to spell your name by laying out cigs on the pier
you can cast net bait by age 5
you don't eat shrimp cause "it's bait"
you try and bring a knife to show & tell in 1st grade

this was Hannah age 5 at the Ft Pickens pier pre- Ivan
