Remember, your old Alabama fishing license expired last night at midnight
You MUST buy a new license before you fish the next time.
The easiest way is online @ http://www.outdooralabama.com/fishing/saltwater/license/
NOTE: there is a $6 Annual Pier License (for AL Residents) available for those who might ONLY fish from a pier.

I hope this is an open internet quiz, because I cheated to get the answer if not.
From a list of licenses and fees found at: http://www.outdooralabama.com/lic...aLicenses&Fees_Rev1Sept09.pdf
Fishing Saltwater Pier $6.00
Allows a resident aged 16-64 to fish from a public
saltwater pier with no other license required. An
annual or trip resident saltwater license may also be
used to fish from a pier. Expires July 31
So, the answer to the question is NO. Fishing from a private pier would not be covered with this license. The only private pier that I am aware of that is accessible to anyone in the general public is Cedar Point Pier and they have a blanket license that covers anyone paying to enter the pier. _________________ It's my duty to make fish pay for their mistakes. |

i can't believe the pier license at 6 bucks, they are really beating thierself out of money. if they make an out of state pier license they may come up as alot will stay away beacuse of the 37 bucks floridians have to pay _________________ "you look so much cuter with something in you mouth" nickelback

Haha the other day at work I asked a guy for his ID and he hands me a custom "The King" ID from burger king with his picture and all. Ironically he does work for BK. Now that was funny :) Finally paid my due and renewed the license today. I don't mind too awful much but it does sit a little sour with me the other day when researching it that you DO need a license to fish if your over 65 but not a resident. My 79 year old grandfather was less than happy with that. Seems a little wrong to me, was thinking of petitioning that crap. They don't even offer a senior out of state license.
